Action Equals Power
What one thing do people do, to be the best in their field? Why do some people have just a hobby, when for other people that same pastime becomes a lifetime passion filled with excitement and devotion?
The answer is Growth!
The more we experience, the more we grow as a person and the better we’ll be at the things we try. The better we are at it, the more we’ll enjoy it…. whatever it is.
People often say things like, “I dream of one day starting my own business”, or “I dream of one day being a partner in the company”, or “All I think about, is earning enough money to be able to retire early and then enjoy my life”.
The problem, is that all dreams give you, is a pretty picture to think about. True progress, in anything requires action. Even the smallest of actions move you closer to your goals, dreaming, or thinking about them does nothing!
Every day, just like every other living organism, if we’re not growing, we’re dying.
It’s so easy to stay the same today as we we’re yesterday, and to be the same tomorrow as we are today. But that’s not why you’re here is it?
To reach the parts of your life that are just out of your grasp, you need to grow a bit every day.
This quote by Abraham Maslow reminds us that no matter who we are today, it doesn’t have to mean that’s who we’ll be tomorrow.
In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth, or to step back into safety.
Every day there’s at least one opportunity to live a fuller life, by making a positive change. Unfortunately, most of those changes require that we step outside our comfort zone.
Even though the wild monsters that hunt outside your comfort zone sometimes seem scary, you can defeat them!
Small, simple steps will get the job done. Whenever you see a situation that can help you grow, think of a simple action you can take, to get you closer to the change.
After all, every marathon starts with one simple step. Every great discovery started with one simple action. Small steps can produce powerful changes. Keep taking small steps and before you know it, you’ll be doing things you never thought possible.
Below, I’ve listed 20 things you can do, to help kick start your growth, boost your confidence and set you on the path to living a full life. Have a read through, then choose what’ll work best for you. Hopefully, these ideas will also jump start your thoughts, and you’ll discover other ideas on your own.
So, let’s get on with the list….

Plan Your Development:
Planning is everything when it comes to your personal development. If you can set time targets and map what your progress should look like, it helps make it more realistic and gives you a structure to gauge your progress.
